Judo club successful
The Moose Jaw Koseikan Judo Club travelled down the highway recently for the Swift Current Annual Judo Tournament and they came away with several medals. It was the first tournament for some of the local members and for others it was a first step to a more competitive level. Those who went include Joel Corbin (sixth in under-30 kilos yellow-orange belt) Jarod Gaucher (third in under-26 kilo yellow-orange), Ruark Lisk (second in over-31 kilo) and Mike Chorney (second in under-46 kilo green-black). Mike Smith (third in over-58 kilo green-black). The club is tentatively slated to travel to portage La Prarie, Man. for the Manitoba Provincial Closed Championships Mar.13, and they'll be in Saskatoon Mar. 27 for the Family YMCA Judo Tournament.
