The Moose Jaw Judo Club has carried a heavy load since hauling a pile of precious metal from Swift Current recently. The club claimed 19 medals at a Feb. 8 tournament, and looks to add to its stash on home turf this weekend at SIAST Palliser Campus. The second annual Moose Jaw Open Judo Tournament begins at 11 a.m. Saturday: admission is free.
Matching their sparkling Swift Current performance may be a weighty task, though. The 21-member team from the Koseikan Judo Club collected four gold, eight silver and seven bronze.
